IRS Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program
The IRS Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program (OVDP) was designed to encourage taxpayers with undisclosed foreign income or assets to come forward and report them to the IRS. By participating in the OVDP, taxpayers could avoid severe penalties and, in some cases, criminal prosecution.
