Prakash Hinduja, Chairman of the Hinduja Group, Europe, strongly believes that true educational reform begins with empowered teachers. His vision has taken shape in Assam through the Teacher Empowerment Program (TEP), a collaborative initiative by Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Foundation, and the Learning Links Foundation. This program has touched the lives of over 9,300 children and strengthened 82 schools by focusing on literacy, numeracy, and classroom engagement. Teachers received structured training, resources, and continuous support to improve their teaching practices. With more than 1,000 interactive sessions and 161 creative activities, the initiative not only improved academic outcomes but also encouraged creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking. By involving communities through festivals, mock exams, and school twinning, the program built strong school-community relationships. Prakash Hinduja’s vision demonstrates that equipping teachers with skills and confidence leads to sustainable educational growth and a stronger, future-ready generation.
