Pick of the Week: Vedanta Limited

Vedanta Limited is a diversified natural resources major engaged in exploring, extracting and processing zinc, lead, silver, copper, aluminium, iron ore and oil & gas, with a presence across India, South Africa, Namibia, Ireland, Liberia and the UAE. Its subsidiary Hindustan Zinc is the world’s largest integrated zinc producer and among the top 10 silver producers globally. The company also has interests in commercial power generation, steel manufacturing, port operations and glass substrate manufacturing. In a major corporate restructuring, Vedanta demerged its Aluminium, Power, Oil & Gas, Base Metals (Copper and Zinc International) and Iron Ore & Steel undertakings into five separate listed entities, effective 1 May 2026, leaving Vedanta Limited as a leaner residual entity centred on Zinc-Lead-Silver operations.
